We are thrilled to welcome local artist Andrea Hayes to klöver haus in Moira, Northern Ireland where she will be running a series of creative workshops. Andrea Hayes works from her home studio in Cookstown, County Tyrone and has won numerous textile art awards and exhibited throughout Ireland. She has also previously exhibited at klöver haus and has a wealth of experience to share.
Textile Art | Coastal Landscape
In this 3 hour adult workshop, you'll discover how to create a unique coastal landscape themed textile art piece (similar to the one pictured) in Andrea’s distinctive style. This will involve hand painting using specialist paints, layering hand dyed fabrics and hand and machine stitching. All equipment and materials are supplied.
Textile Art | Tree Blossom
In this 3 hour adult workshop, you'll discover how to create a unique tree blossom themed textile art piece (similar to the one pictured) in Andrea’s distinctive style. This will involve hand painting using specialist paints, layering hand dyed fabrics and hand and machine stitching. All equipment and materials are supplied.
Felting | Dawn Landscape & Wildflower
In this 3 hour adult workshop, you'll discover how to create a unique dawn landscape or wildflower themed felt art piece (similar to the one pictured). This will involve learning the process of wet felting and then needle felting into it. All equipment and materials are supplied.
Silk Painting
In this 5 hour adult workshop, you'll discover how to paint freely onto silk. This will involve outlining the image using gutta and then painting using specialist paints. At the end of the workshop, you'll have an A4 sized silk painting to take home. Example images will be provided but you are welcome to bring reference images or ideas to use as a starting point. All equipment and materials are supplied and no experience is necessary.
