Aiming to convey texture and light, this stunning piece entitled 'A Tranquil Walk' by Louise Lennon is inspired by the local rural landscape, Louise has been exploring a concept from Japanese Art called Notan, which focuses on the balance of light and dark, positive and negative spaces. She aims to convey the warmth from the sunlight by emphasising the warm tones in the palette; using pinks and oranges where the sunlight is hitting the subject and contrasting that with cooler tones in the shadow.
