This piece entitled 'Walking to Magheralin' is part of an exhibition of original paintings by local artist Louise Lennon exploring countryside and landmarks on our doorstep in Northern Ireland.
Louise Lennon is a contemporary artist working mainly in oil. She aims to convey texture and earthiness, capturing the ordered chaos and random patterns in nature. Her inspiration comes from the peaceful solitude that can be found in the barren Irish landscape. Over the past few months, Louise has spent time walking the country lanes of rural Armagh where she grew up. This is reflected in many of the pieces in 'A Short Walk' where rolling drumlins, ancient hedgerows and derelict farms can be seen.
The painting has been professionally framed in a wooden frame to complement the piece and is not behind glass so that the true texture can be appreciated.
